Do you have the sinking feeling that you're chasing the wrong things?
You sit down, open your sketchbook...but
there's that Art Block in your way, again...stopping you.
Where do you start, HOW and WHY?
Life can be too distracting between shorts and tutorials.
And chasing it can get you lost...
What if I told you there's a mistake so big in art education that I see it everywhere, but is also easily avoidable and will 10x your progress as an artist?
But first...what if...
There were also a proven student-tested system (on live human subjects!) for learning how to put your imagination on the page.
Would that sound like something you would want to try?
A complete beginner's system starting from zero to master the fundamentals of drawing and composition by following an easy-to-follow step-by-step approach...
Going into the class, I hoped to improve my technical skills and learn how to convey more emotion and storytelling in my work. What I got out of it was so much more—I gained confidence in my creative process, discovered new techniques. Your patience, encouragement, and ability to break down complex ideas into manageable steps made it so much easier to stay on track and actually enjoy the process of learning.
I've been at the teaching thing for a long time, just as long as my professional work with galleries, game companies and more. Over 20 years. Since 2004.
20 years of turning students into pros.
20 years of bringing the lessons I learned from clients back to the classroom.
You can take advantage of that experience here.
And you can avoid the BIGGEST mistake in art education that I see many students and experts make...ALL THE TIME.
They isolate skill from art. (I did that too - oops!)
Chasing skills without a specific meaningful outcome...is a waste of time.
When you enroll here, you get just enough new skills and information to move a project forward.
Projects that not only teach you how to make something, but how to fill it with feeling and meaning.
Fill it with art.

Peter Sakievich was one of my favorite professors during my time at Ringling. I often reflect on the methods and techniques he taught us when working on any project. Peter is always willing to help students with live demonstrations and expert advice. I would not be the artist I am today without his guidance. His love for art is infectious, and I always leave his class feeling inspired and ready to take on new projects.
He is a real industry professional with working experiences in a lot of big name studios. Not only helping me to improve the foundational skills that I had been struggling with, like perspective, lighting and color, he also taught us how to apply it into our designs to enhance the storytelling. Working as a concept artist in the industry has always been my dream and now I am working in a AAA game company as a concept artist. Taking Peter’s classes is life-changing.
Peter's relaxed and encouraging teaching style made the class enjoyable and helped me build confidence in my abilities. He also provided us with excellent resources and references, which introduced me to a variety of drawing styles and techniques.
Overall, Peter's class was an incredible learning journey, and I am grateful for the skills and inspiration I gained from it.
Peter was clear in his communications, and patient explaining the concepts to his students, but he has high standards and will really push you to learn and grow. He clearly is passionate about Art and helping students benefit from his experience. He helped our class become disciplined in techniques through assignments, and direct feedback.
The quality and speed that I can achieve in my storyboard and concept work is all rooted in the concepts taken from Peter’s class, and I further benefited from his advice on how to navigate clients and how to approach professional workstreams. Highly recommended! I personally recommend Peter as a guide on your artist’s journey because he knows what he’s talking about, and shows you how to act on it.

On hiatus
Assorted bits of hard to find information, websites and other resources provided to my students!
All of this work was made by 18-year-old freshmen college students in their first semester!
They followed along with the courses above to create original evocative works of art directly related to their interests and intuition.
Each faced a media, technical and expressive challenge for each assignment and came up with authentic and original images that demonstrated their mastery of the assignments!
Using the same courses and lessons in your enrollment here!
Pretty incredible stuff!
This is a very small selection of their work. I have a lot much more!
Every time a due date came, I was really excited to see what they had done!
I was genuinely impressed!
We even put up a "Drawing Alcove" to cover the walls with the best and it was impossible to find enough room to include all the work!
I'd find students in there marveling at all the work they and their classmates had accomplished.
They put in the time, research and effort to achieve real mastery.
To pursue, acquire, and demonstrate deeper understanding!
Which is where success comes from and where it stays.
"Peter Sakievich was pivotal to my art education and development as an illustrator, painter, concept artist and provided great guidance as an artist in general. He is a patient teacher, and has many insights and is full of knowledge and resources to share. Not only does he know what to teach, he can put it into practice and demonstrate how these techniques or ideas can be applied."

Here's some common questions...Answered!
You might be really busy, but you're still passionate about mastering the skills and mindsets that you need to become the artist you dream of!
Because the courses are available 24/7 you can access the instruction and work on the exercises and assignments at just the right pace that's manageable for your situation!
Access the library of courses and lessons from any modern computer, tablet or mobile phone. Because the materials are art based, I recommend you use a desktop/laptop or larger tablet to access the site.
Phones can work, but are often too small to get the full experience you need to really access the information in the videos.
Not a problem!
Everyone starts somewhere, because of my many years in the classroom I've taught a lot of beginners.
Start with the Foundations of Form class and then follow that series!
I assume that my students know nothing when they walk into my classroom.
I built my courses here to work the exact same way. I show you not only how to make expressive lines, but how to hold your tools, and many more really basic thing things that make a difference for the beginning art student.
Materials can be a challenge too.
So each course recommends materials and many have links where you can find them. Depending on the course, the specific medium may not matter, because the concepts or principles are the most important.
I do have computer application or media specific (watercolor, marker, etc) demonstrations, but often substitutions can be used.
In the menu and account side bar is the Order History option. You cancel easily your subscription from there.
Don't forget your enrollment includes a 14 Day Risk Free Trial period that you can cancel before you're ever charged!
